Art Center Entertainment Design Portfolio Spring 2016

Yup, so this is the portfolio I submitted for AC Entertainment Design Spring 2016.  It took about 2 months, first 2 weeks just thinking about what I wanted to do, and 6 weeks working.  There was so much more I wanted to do with this portfolio, and if I could do it again I would tell myself to TAKE NOTES.  I spent the last day putting my pages together and realized my mind had gone blank!  So for that reason I wish I could have wrote more and provided more ideation sketches, but tis' over now.  At any rate, I was accepted! :)  

Lighting environments

My first shot at lighting black & white environments from scratch.  It was actually pretty fun after I got over the initial terror. :)

 And the "rough" final, settled on the night scene.

Iron Giant themed speed paint

A speed paint from my ACN class last night, Iron Giant themed!  Funny story about me and this movie,  I remember being about 11 years old going over to my grandparents home for a night (parents taking a break).  Back then all I had was Cartoon Network and my gameboy to save me from boredom.  It just so happened that night Cartoon Network had decided to marathon Iron Giant for 24 hours straight. These days I try not to remember how many times I watched it in a row....Regardless, that doesn't damper how much I really love this movie. :)

So anyway, 10-15 minutes, inspired by the movies climax!
